Questions to Ask to shops when calling for a Window Tint Quote for your car
1- What brand of window film is the quote for? - (3M, Suntec, LLumar, etc)
2- Which type (grade) of window tint is the quote for? - (A dyed, Carbon, or Ceramic Film)
3- What is the Name of the film: - (3M Color Stable, 3M Premium, 3M Crystalline, etc.) Then, research the film online
4- What does the warranty cover and for how long? - (Is it a lifetime warranty for peeling, cracking, fading, purpling, bubbling, etc?)
5 - Is it a written or verbal warranty? - We offer a "written" lifetime nationwide warranty card that is backed by 3M.
6- Is the install backed by a shop warranty or a manufacturer warranty? - We offer a written manufacturer warranty card.
7- Ask if the price they gave is going to cover any type of car? (Sedan, SUV, etc.) We give you an accurate quote for your exact car so the price we give you is the price you pay + tax.
8- Are they going to up-charge for a darker shades? – We don’t!
9- Ask them how long it will take to do a full car? - If they say an hour then most likely you are going to get a very poor quality installation with debris in the film. We don’t rush! We will need your car for at least 4-5 hours to make sure it is perfect.
Things to verify during install: When you are getting your tint installed make sure to:
1- If it is a 3M dealer then check on 3M’s Automotive Window film website to verify they are listed as an authorized 3M installer/dealer. - We are Utah’s only 3M Premier Elite dealer!
2- Ask them to leave the logos on the film until you pick it up so you know you are getting what you paid for - or at least show you the box - 3M film has 3M Logos stamped on the film and a giant 3M on the box so you know it is authentic. Yes, there are shops in Salt Lake that are saying they install 3M films and then don’t.
